However, not all roofing coil is coated with colors. Normally there are two types of surface treatment for aluminum roofing materials: coating and no coating at all. The surface of uncoated coils has been treated casually. It may be embossed with irregular or regular designs, or have gong through a prepassivation treatment. Common paintings for aluminum roofing coil include polyester, polyurethane, polyamide, modified silicone, epoxy resin and PVDF etc. These paintings can be coated by two methods: spraying and rolling.
PVDF proves to be the best of all paintings for aluminum roofing coil. As an organic compound of the strongest anti-UV ability in accordance to current human knowledge, it boasts excellent ageing quality resistance and long service life. Different coating processes are available for varied quality requirements. There are four-time coating & baking, six-time coating & baking as well as eight-time coating & baking of automatic processes. The content of PVDF varies from 70 to 80 percent in the paintings which are coated to aluminum roofing coil by chemical treatment, initial coating, precise coating etc. The coated layer of the front side is about 25μm thick, and the back side is also coated with corrosion resistant paintings.
